Mütiilation

O Mütiilation foi formado em 1991 por Meyhna'ch (pseudônimo usado por William Roussel), o baterista Dark Wizzard of Silence e um baterista de nome David. Eles gravaram uma grande quantidade de material como um trio até 1994, quando David deixou a formação, por estar descontente com a união do Mütiilation ao movimento Lés Légions Noires. Nesta época, o Mütiilation lançou um EP em homenagem ao movimento intituladoHail Satanas We Are the Black Legions.

Pouco tempo depois, Dark Wizzard of Silence foi substituído por Krissagrazabeth, que participou das gravações da banda até o Vampires of Black Imperial Blood, saindo da banda mais uma vez devido a discordâncias ideológicas. Ele foi substituído por Mørdrëd, que era parte da Légion Noires.

Em 1999, uma compilação intitulada Remains of a Ruined, Dead, Cursed Soul foi lançada pelo selo francês Drakkar Productions, dando aos fãs material inédito. O álbum trazia a informação de que Meyhna'ch estava "morto" para a cena black metal, que havia mudado. Entretanto, em 2001, o Mütiilation voltou lançando Black Millenium (Grimly Reborn), dizendo que a banda estava "morta, mas não enterrada". Neste ponto, a banda já era um projeto solo, e Meyhna'ch continuou a usar símbolos do Légions Noires em alguns lançamentos.

A banda excursionou pela Europa, contando com membros provisórios para os shows, como Noktu, Astrelya e Fureiss, da banda Celestia. Até 2009, o Mütiilation lançou álbuns e compilações e relançou álbuns antigos.
